USHERING DEPARTMENTUsher ministry:
These groups by brethren in the church are regarded as the church elders at the gate. They see to the proper conduct of worshipping in church to ensure that proper decorum is maintained during service in and outside the building. Aside from maintaining order in church they meet regularly to pray and discuss matters affecting their duties while carrying out other tasks relevant to the ushers’ ministry. PRAYER DEPARTMENTPrayer Ministry:
The purpose of the prayer ministry team is to actively encourage and promote prayer within the life of the church. By being open and responsive to the working of the Holy Spirit, we pray that God's love, guidance and healing power would be released for the benefit of His people and to His glory. THE DEFINITION OF PRAYER: Prayer is one of the spiritual weapons of God’s saints in spiritual warfare, Dan. 9:20. It is the power of God in the mouth of the prophet, Jer. 5:14. It is the spiritual inner oxygen of the effective preacher, Acts 4:23-37. It is the influence of the teacher of God’s word, Mark 3:13-15. Prayer is the key for any lasting and successful ministry. It is the ministerial license which qualifies you to carry out God’s work. It is the spiritual master key which opens impossible doors, Acts 12:1-12. It is the key to victory Mark 11:23. The Place of Prayer: There is a place where your sins can be forgiven, Ps. 51:1-10. There is a place where death can be cancelled, Is. 38:1-6. There is a place to cure infertility or bareness, I Sam. 1:1-28. There is a place where impossible situations can become possible Matt. 21:18-22. There is a place to get secrets from the Lord to solve life’s puzzles, Dan. 2:1-23. This is a place of prayer Lk. 6:12. The Purpose of Prayer: The purpose of prayer is to present our desires to God with the confidence that we will receive what we have requested. The purpose of prayer is to create a chance for God to intervene in matters that are beyond our strength, II Chron. 14:9-12. The Structure of Prayer: Praising God for past, present and future blessings Ps. 107:1-21 Purification, purging and asking for cleansing from sin, Ps. 51:1-10 Power for intercession, for supplication and for talking with God, Luke 11:1. Petitioning and asking God the Lord for what you need, Ps. 20:1-4. Praising God Almighty for answered prayer, John 11:40-42. |
EVANGELISM DEPARTMENTEvangelism Ministry:
Go ye therefore and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the father, and of the son and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: Matt 28 vs 19-20 Go ye therefore and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the father, and of the son and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: Evangelism is proclaiming the gospel (good news) of Jesus Christ to the lost and dieing world. Evangelism is extremely important for this is God's means of bringing the saving gospel of Jesus Christ to lost sinners. Note the emphasis placed upon this by Jesus Himself as He closed out His earthly ministry: Matt 28:18-20; Mark 16:15; Luke 24:46-48; Acts 1:8. Apostle Paul also continued this emphasis: Rom 10:13-17; 2 Cor 5:18-20. Since the inception of C.A.C.G.M. The Church has been involved in aggressive evangelism. It is our supreme task. What's It Going To Take? "And The Lord said to Moses, "How long will this people despise Me? And how long will they not believe in Me, in spite of all the signs which I have wrought among them?" Numbers 14:11 Some people just don't seem to get it. Or maybe they don't even care, or feel it necessary to think about things within the spiritual realm such as God and the afterlife. They live in the here and now; only wanting to deal with what is before them at the moment. Those individuals who believe and have experienced the reality of God in their lives may reveal profound personal transformations and other signs and wonders which followed their faith in God. Yet, as the above Bible verse reveals, in spite of the signs, those they have spoken with still will not believe. Sadly, many people exist in this world totally oblivious to God. And as such, I must ask myself, "What's it going to take for them to open their blind eyes, deaf ears and hard hearts?" Will someone close to them have to die before they raise their own questions about life after death? Does sickness or disease have to befall them before they humble themselves enough to cry out to the Lord? Must their own lives be endangered before they shout, "Help me, God!" Worse yet, what if they put off God until it is too late? Again, I ask, what's it going to take? In essence, God has prepared an awesome feast for us all, but His invitation to partake of it is continually ignored. "And Jesus answered and spake unto them again by parables, and said, The kingdom of heaven is like unto a certain king, which made a marriage for his son, And sent forth his servants to call them that were bidden to the wedding: and they would not come." (Matthew 22:1) What about you? What's it going to take for you to take notice of the One who has been calling and reaching out to you? If you are willing to trust Jesus Christ as your Saviour, why not take the time at this very moment to thank Him for caring for you and ask Him into your heart. Let your prayer be from an honest and broken heart. Prayer: "Dear God, I have hidden from You long enough. I have lived according to my own devices, and they have failed miserably. I am ready to take hold of Your hand now, God, and to start anew. Come into my life, dear Lord, and soften my heart with Your love. This I ask in the name of Your Son, Jesus Christ. Amen."
